– D. Gonzalo de Mena was named archbishop of Seville (he died in 1401 and was buried in the Chapel of Santiago, inside the Cathedral). (1394)
– The wooden belfry was removed from the tower, a belfry was built on 4 pillars to hang the bell and the first public clock in Seville, placed in the Giralda, was put into operation. (1400)
